On the conceptual side of things, an album about turning away from the past and facing the unexplained. According to Steve, "we must venture into the world of random chance - ideas of the self must be abandoned. The center of our being lies within this knowledge. Without it, everything in our universe would be lost to confusion, nothing would escape". Which brings us to the ultimate truth about "Omni": This is an album about letting go, about loosing oneself (and one's self) completely. A concentrated effort, these pieces develop an hypnotic vortex of minimalistic string motives, bubbly beats and tiny sound particles swirling weightlessly through space. "Drift" is the sound of a goa-afterparty on a silent beach during dawn and hosts some of the most wonderous high frequencies ever recorded onto disc. And the twentyone minutes of "Immerse" are simple and pure and of an irresistible magnetism, a majestic pattern repeated in ever-changing cycles.
