Journeys out of the Body

How to explain the inexplicable? "During the last months of 1981, I had a series of experiences that extended my awareness of other realities and inspired my waking hours with a powerful creativity.", Steve writes with regards to "Journeys out of the body", "The music that I wrote is the result and conveys in spirit and atmosphere what I have tried to describe in words in my diary." You may find his extensive rapport of those days, but words must be a mere approximation of the events and their impact. "Second Reality" is the opening of the gateway, a gentle invocation for an album on which Steve uses all of his techniques and a wide aray of acoustic and electronic instruments: Piano, flute, saxophones, guitars, synthesizers, sequencers and occasional whispered words in foreign tongues. Each piece has its own distinct ambiance, but each one moves from one atmospheric scene to the next, with themes appearing out of the void and then diseminating again, only to pave the way for the new. There are moments of complete timelessness and then again pulsating rhythms and clear melodies, as the mind explores different states. Threatening and then touching, severe and then soothing, this is a release full of riddles and wide spaces waiting to be wandered by the searching spirit.
